Product Introduction
Grate mills are key equipment for re-grinding materials after crushing and batching in a crusher. They are primarily used for grinding raw materials in cement plants, but can also be used in power generation, metallurgy, chemical industry, and other industries to grind various ores and other grindable materials. Operating Principle
When the motor drives the bridge mechanism through a reducer, the grinding media adheres to the inner wall of the mill due to centrifugal force and rotates with it. Once lifted to a certain height, gravity and centrifugal force cause the media to fall, crushing the material within. In addition to the cyclical motion of the grinding media, it also experiences sliding and rolling, resulting in a grinding action between the grinding media, the liner, and the material being ground, resulting in a finer grinding process. While the material is being crushed and ground by impact, the height difference between the feed and discharge ends causes the material to flow slowly from the feed end to the discharge end, completing the grinding process.
