Zinc oxide rotary kilns are primarily used for the reduction roasting of zinc-containing waste. Suitable materials include zinc concentrate, zinc-containing sludge, zinc-containing tailings, steel mill dust, steel mill flue dust, zinc-containing flue dust, zinc-containing dust sludge, blast furnace secondary ash, converter secondary ash, electric furnace dust, steelmaking LT ash, converter OG sludge, blast furnace gas sludge, and blast furnace gravity ash. Production lines can be designed to process 0.5 to 1500 tons of raw materials per day, depending on needs.

    Operating Principle

    The material entering the kiln rotates continuously as it moves toward the kiln head. The combustion of coke powder in the material releases heat, reducing the zinc in the material to zinc vapor at a certain temperature. Upon encountering oxygen, the zinc undergoes an oxidation reaction, converting it to zinc oxide, which enters the flue gas treatment system along with the flue gas. Once the burner is ignited, the material continues to burn, and the Roots blower only needs to continuously replenish air.
