READ MOREThe rotary drum granulator is a machine for processing powdered or slurry materials into pellets. Its primary operating method is wet granulation. A sufficient amount of water or steam is used to moisten the base fertilizer within the drum, allowing it to undergo a complete chemical reaction. The drum's rotational motion then creates a squeezing force between the material particles, agglomerating them into pellets. The machine boasts an attractive appearance and is suitable for both cold and hot granulation, as well as the large-scale production of high-, medium-, and low-concentration compound fertilizers.
The rotary drum granulator is driven by a main motor via a belt and pulley. A reducer transmits power to the drive shaft. The gears then work in opposition to the large ring gear, feeding the material through the feed end. Other internal mechanisms within the drum form pellets that flow out through the discharge port. The drum is lined with either rubber sheets or acid-resistant stainless steel, enabling automatic scar and tumor removal, eliminating the need for a traditional scraper.
The rotary drum granulator offers low overall investment and high economic benefits. The machine boasts a high pelletizing rate and high output, yet consumes little power and requires minimal maintenance.
