READ MOREA submerged scraper conveyor is a continuous conveying device that transports bulk materials such as dust, small particles, and small lumps within a closed rectangular cross-section housing using a moving scraper chain. Because the scraper chain is completely submerged in the material during conveying, it is called a "submerged scraper conveyor." The material exhibits characteristics such as internal friction and lateral pressure. During horizontal transport, the material is pushed by the scraper chain in the direction of motion, squeezing it. Due to its own weight, internal friction is generated within the material, maintaining a stable layer of material. When this internal friction exceeds the external friction between the material and the trough wall, the material forms a continuous, integrated flow, conveyed forward by the scraper chain.
During vertical lifting, due to the material's inherent characteristics, the scraper chain pushes the material in the direction of motion, generating lateral pressure within the material, creating internal friction. At the same time, the continuous feeding of the lower horizontal section exerts a pushing force on the material above, forcing it upward. When these forces overcome the external friction between the material and the trough wall and the weight of the material itself, the material forms a continuous, integrated flow and is lifted. Due to the vibration of the scraper chain, material arches sometimes break and sometimes form. Consequently, during vertical transport, the material lags behind the chain, slightly affecting conveying efficiency and speed, but not hindering normal operation. The buried scraper conveyor boasts a simple structure, light weight, compact size, excellent sealing, and easy installation and maintenance. It can convey horizontally, inclined, or vertically; it can be used as a single unit or in combination for tandem conveying. It allows for multiple loading and unloading points, providing flexible process layout. Its enclosed housing significantly improves working conditions during material conveying and prevents environmental pollution.
Applications and Classifications
Our factory manufactures general-purpose buried scraper conveyors, which can be widely used in the chemical, machinery, metallurgy, light industry, grain, pharmaceutical, transportation, and hydropower sectors, conveying dusty, granular, and small-block materials.
General-purpose buried scraper conveyors are classified into the following types:
1. MS-type horizontal buried scraper conveyor;
2. MC-type vertical buried scraper conveyor;
3. MZ-type Z-type buried scraper conveyor.
Horizontal buried scraper conveyors are available in standard and steeply inclined types. The standard type has an installation angle of 0° ≤ α ≤ 15°, while the steeply inclined type has an installation angle of 15° < α < 30°.
General-purpose buried scraper conveyors have the following requirements for the materials being conveyed:
1. Material bulk density: r = 0.2-1.8 t/m³
2. Temperature: Material temperature t < 100°C
3. Moisture content: For general materials, the material must not be easily loosened when kneaded by hand. For materials with increased moisture content, which increases stickiness and compressibility, the material must not adhere excessively to the scraper.
4. Particle size: The material's particle size is related to its hardness. Excessively large particles will make conveying difficult. 5. Examples of transportable materials: pulverized coal, crushed coal, fly ash, carbon black, ammonium bicarbonate, pyrite powder, ammonium chloride, copper concentrate powder, alumina powder, gypsum powder, limestone powder, baking soda, urea, activated carbon, sodium chloride, calcium silicate, asbestos powder, synthetic resin, rubber powder, calcium carbide, clay, synthetic fertilizers, powdered and granular pesticides, barium carbonate ammonium sulfate, soda ash powder, granular medicines, wheat, soybeans, rice, sugar, starch, crushed charcoal, wood chips, sawdust, vinyl chloride synthetic detergent, fly ash phosphate fertilizer, etc.
